Excellent Information About Internet Marketing Forum

Jenny asks…

Internet marketing and SEO – Where should I focus my efforts?

There are so many tactics to boosting your site and keyword rankings. Currently I am trying a little bit of everything such as link building, blog posts, article writing, social media marketing, forum posting, etc. I want to know the tactic(s) that I should be focusing on most because doing all of this is extremely time consuming.

Your doing the right thing – just keep at it and you will see results soon – I would advise you to concentrate on one method but this isnt the way to go as you will need a variety of sources for your backlink building strategy.
What I mean by this is that its important to use all the methods you mentioned and some more – if i was doing my seo work then for the offsite work I would be doing the following

article marketing
blog commenting
forum postings
rss feed sumissions
directory submissions
profile backlinking
web 2.0 account creations-such as hubpages -squidoo lenses
blog creations
Bookmarking
software submissions

just to name a few – please stay away from link farms and devalued directories – Also its not a good idea to do reciprocal linking.

When you create your backlinks use your keywords as the anchor text. Also you will need to make sure you have optimised your pages properly – so pay attention and use your keywords in your

title
meta description
meta keywords
heading tags
body text

Also make sure you have a sitemap and use latent symentic indexing. Its also advisable to make sure your internal linking structure is good

hope this helps

Donald asks…

where can I go to join a forum about network marketing?

I want a forum where I can post my websites as well as get advice from other people like myself who are in the home based business industry. It can be internet marketing too.

Larry McCann answers:

Just google networking marketing and start joining. Most will fall under internet marketing and they won’t let you post your site exept for a Signature box and that only after so many post.

You will get kick of many before you get the rhythm of how to do this.

James asks…

I just read this an internet marketing !!?

I just read this in an internet marketing forum that you get penalised for geting backlinks fast and one guy even said that he was penalised by Google for it.

So my question is : If I get those backlinks from article directories of about 1000 directories will I get penalised?

To not get penalised by Google how many backlings should I get in a day or week?

Please explain clearly and precisly.

Thanks to all.XXX
P.S : the links are coming from ARTICLE DIRETORIES
What if those links are coming to a hubpage /squidoo lens or just a blog post ?? not my own domain

Larry McCann answers:

If you’re submitting unique and relevant articles to article directories you’ll be just fine. I’d also suggest posting your orginal article to your site or blog first, then submit it to the article directories a few days later.

However, if you’re using article directories to push out huge amounts of content, then you may be in jeopordy of being penalized. Bottom line is anything you do to try and game search results will eventually be penalized.

Paul asks…

does anyone know if the warriors forum is still up and running?

I have been unable to access the warriors (internet marketing) forum and I was wondering if it was just me.

Larry McCann answers:

Yes. It still works.

They changed to a new server to speed up the processes they use.

The new forum for Warrior Forums is…
===> http://www.warriorforum.com/

You will be required to setup a new account, and relink to all the topics you are interested in following. Be sure to check out their blog options that they have added. Their pretty sweet if you ask me.

Also, consider using the SEO & Beyond forum. It’s new, but with myself being the moderator, it is my intention to make it the best Internet Marketing forum available on the Interenet. It may indeed take some time for that to happen, but I’m willing to work toward that goal which will be more attainable as others chose to join.

Maria asks…

How to market my forum on internet?

I just created a forum for engg students in AP. India and need to take it to them inorder to have their feedback and suggestions. How to market my forum and get the students as members.

Larry McCann answers:

Your best bet is to start a blog page so you can drive traffic to it. Always think traffic.

Once you start your blog post, write a post every day so you can start getting attention. Make sure your keywords are relevant to your content. This will help you in getting you to the top of the search engines. Also make sure you ping your blog every time you post.

You will also want to think about social bookmarks so you can get your posts on other social networking sites.

I have tutorials at no cost for the first three in the series. These are for beginners and will pretty much get you positioned to understand how to use the power of word press and have it act as your platform for a site.

Once you start getting your target market to your blog site, you will want to be sure to have an opt-in box so you can have your visitors sign up for a news letter or free guide. This will now give you a way to stay in contact with them through emails. Please do not spam your list once they sign up. That will not be a good thing.

You will now have two ways to let your prospects know about your great forum! You can let them on your blog post and you can remind them through emails.

Feel free to snoop around on my blog page and get some tips on how to conduct yourself and how to get traffic to your site in a more in depth manner. I also have some video tutorials posted at no cost.

Best of everything to you and good luck!

John asks…

Can anyone point an Internet marketing newbie in the right direction?

I am a total Internet marketing newbie and I feel extremely overwhelmed. I quit my job after I had my son 5 months ago and my husband just got his hours cut back at work, so we need the extra money. I have read in some forums that affiliate marketing can be a great work at home job that I can do part-time and make good money. So, can someone help this newbie out?

Larry McCann answers:

I am also a work at home mom, but I have to tell you that affiliate marketing is just not a job. A telemarketer is a job. Internet marketing is a business and you must work hard at your business to make it successful. A lot of people have the misconception that they can, through up a website, add some affiliate links to it and make some good income.

On the contrary, you have to work hard at promoting your site and getting traffic and sales. This is why it is called marketing. You have to market it and market it some more. I don’t want you to get the wrong idea about affiliate marketing and get discouraged after a month or two by not seeing any income come in (which will most likely happen).

When I first starting affiliate marketing from home 3 years ago, I was putting in about 9-10 hour days to get my sites started, do my research, and market my sites to death. I only started to see regular traffic and money come in after about 3-4 months and even then it was only a couple hundred dollars and I had about 5 sites up.

But, after about a year, I was making over $4500 a month and I was only working about 20 hours a week. In the beginning, you really have to work and then as you get your sites more established, you can set things to autopilot and work much less. Now I have 2 kids and make almost 6 figures a year and work about 20-25 hours a week when my kids are sleeping.

I have about 60 niche websites and I am in the process of making 5 more. The sites that are the oldest are the ones that make the most money, with a few exceptions. You will have sites that no matter what you do may just not see conversions or make you the money that you want no matter how much you put into them. On the other hand, you may have sites that do a lot better than you ever thought they would and you only put in a minimal amount of time on them.

For an Internet marketing newbie like yourself, I recommend that you check out www.mattbacak.com. Even though I have been doing this for 3 years I still subscribe to his Internet Marketing Dirt newsletter and learn new things from it. The Internet is always changing and you must adapt your strategies if you want to really succeed. I wish you all the luck with your endeavor and don’t give up!
