Donald asks…

Question about Cambodia and products exported from this country?

I’m giving a report for my marketing class tomorrow and I decided to go with Cambodia. I know Cambodia is known for making beer and rice but I would like to know if anyone know which brands are exported to other countries. I think the anchor and angkor brands are known internationally but if anyone knows any site where I can obtain more detail information such as quantities produced which countries have their brands available and what countries does Cambodia export rice to it would be much appreciated.

Larry McCann answers:

Cambodia is a center for textile manufacturers as the country is not subject to quota restrictions for import into the US.
As you can see from the export statistics, food and beverages rank low in export volumes. Angkor is not distributed even in neighboring countries and is hardly well known internationally. Statistics also show that Cambodia’s largest export destinations are USA, Hong Kong and Singapore.
