Best Promotion For $1000+ Home Business?
I’ve been with a business opportunity for awhile that has a higher start up capital than some new businesses online today. I make $1000 on a $2000+ sale, so obviously my sales have dwindled because there aren’t that many people out here who CAN spend $2000 on a new business. I do know one of the best ways to improve sales is to offer incentives and I had thought about giving new prospects a percentage of MY commissions. Any ideas anyone?

Larry McCann answers:
In marketing you must make a volume of sales you better give some incentives cut your co mission a little bit and im sure it will doubled your sales its the same

David asks…
What is the best sales position to do from home?
What are some high ticket items that people sell from their home using phone sales. I am retired and looking to fill some of my time selling some big ticket items by phone as I spent a lifetime doing phone sales. I don’t want to be involved in any product that requires lengthy follow up (such as real estate) but have no trouble calling businesses or residential numbers. I prefer something where commission payout is quick relative to the call time. Anyone have any ideas?
(Please, no nutritional product, no business opportunity, and certainly no MLM nonsense).
Thanks.

Larry McCann answers:
I am not exactly sure what you are looking for. There are several telemarketing companies that are looking for appointment setters, lead generation etc. Http://wahjobs.blogspot.com has a listing-click on companies that hire telecommuters then phone sales.

Ruth asks…
Anyone know any good “work from home” businesses out there? Especially one that can suit a stay-at-home mom?
Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone could help me out here.
I’m interested in a work-from-home job/business opportunity, especially those that could suit a stay-at home mom.
Here are some things that I’m looking for:
1. Something that doesn’t require any monthly payments or start-up fees or anything.
2. Something that is flexible and that also does not require ANY telephone use (for example, such as calling people and convincing them to join your business! This is such a pain to do, btw!)
3. Any work-from-home job/business that requires the use of a computer is just fine.
4. Something that you think is interesting to do and is NOT a snorefest! I understand that you won’t always get the job you want in order to earn a living, but I’m just looking for something here that is not too much of a burden to do and, at the same time, is something that I could benefit from.
5. PLEASE no businesses that require you to get people to sign up with you in order to earn money!
6. Any ideas about starting my own home job/business would be great too!
7. I’d like to know if you’ve previously experienced (or have someone who has previously experienced) this specific job/business.
I believe that’s it. I’d really REALLY appreciate the help here..it’s hard to find something legimite on Google nowadays.
P.S – If ANYONE refers me to ANY “get rich quick” scams, or those cheap survey websites that “promise” you thousands of dollars for filling out a million page survey, or ANY FRAUDULENT website that lies about it’s offers, your answer will be REPORTED. I’m serious about this. Stop spreading cheap websites that do nothing but scam people. It’s not right and won’t be left off of easily.
On the other hand, anyone who gives me a great answer will be chosen as the “Best Answer” of this question. =) An extra ten points! Yay! lol.
Once again, I appreciate all the help in advance! Thank you!
Looking forward to hearing your answers.
Oh, and please don’t refer me to Ameriplan. =) I’ve tried and tried and tried with them and in the end, I left the business completely.
Thanks.

“If a company requires initial payment from you in order to work for them, they are not legitimate.”
There are a few legitimate data entry companies but are not hiring and have large waiting lists (1-2yrs). The majority of data entry jobs you seen online are scams. A real company will want you to have skills inc fast typing, may want you to know MS Excel, and will usually ask that you have high speed internet. Once in a long while you may found one online on a job website but thats rare.
If you do an advanced search on yahoo, you will find previous answers, sometimes the info on these is good as the info they gave is likely to have been verified if the answer was voted as ‘Best’.

Mandy asks…
Which business idea should I start?
Hello. I would like to become super rich someday. I have four business ideas that I think could be big hit. Some are new ideas, and some are just good opportunities. I have worked at a management consulting firm called McKinsey &Company for 5 years. I left the firm in hope to find job positions at a forunte 500, but I then wanted to start my own company.
1. A boardroom facility business. In these times, many small businesses are starting. They are also mostly homebased. But what happens when a home based business needs a meeting to promote something, meet with the board, etc. Home based businesses simply cannot have professional meetings within their own home. Before launching the business, I would buy real estate in convenient locations. I would then build the center up with boardrooms, secretary services, offices, printers, fax machines, Internet, laptops, projectors, Catering services, and all business needs. Due to limited amount of space, businesses would book ahead. They would pay a fee depending on how long they use the facility. Startup costs could be 50k to sig figures, however, I have saved tons of money from being a management consultant, and I could get investors in on the startup. If the first center is a success, I could open up locations in other cities and eventually become a franchise. Good idea?
2. I would start a consulting firm that consults website owners and online business owners of the quality of their online presence. We would advise small web based startups on what problems they should fix and how they should go about achieving success. I would most likely partner this business startup. We would hire consulting professionals who have experience in the web based industry.
3. A website where people can buy and sell businesses. Currently, there are tons of sites that do this, but a seller of a business would pay a fee to post. Then they could sell there business. However, legal problems may cause an issue.
4. I would start a venture capital/private equity firm that invests in early stage web startups.
I have some experience instwrting business. When I was 22, I started a service called the love van. I bought a van, fixed it up. It was a van where people could use to make love in the back room. The van had privace, included wine, beds, condoms, etc. I would drive lovers all around town for hours. It was a cool business, but not too profitable. Which business idea should I pick? I like the board room space company the best..

Larry McCann answers:
As you have already got experience with idea number 4 (love truck) you could try expanding into the porn business. Fix some cameras in the back and record the action then sell it on the internet. Or sell the film to your customers, if they will not buy it tell them it will be sold on the internet.
OK my mind is running away now but there are possibilities there somewhere.
You could try blackmail but it’s not the sort of thing you can take to the bank as a business plan..he he
OK I’ll stop now…good luck
